HDC commenced 17 schools to educate the young’s of indigenous community a comprehensive educational system was built having the basic aspect, of cultural education through mother language. (Seraiki) This education system is being established step by step to primary level. Urdu, English, Mathematics and Science are also taught in HDC Schools. Students are fascinated with highly qualified teachers and free educational material. Recently an audio video and picture book library has been established along with computer training. Moreover 14 adult literacy centers has been established in target area. Over 300 formal and 150 adult students are being taught in HDC. schools. Are as fallows

Beside drawing, model making, and performing arts, exposure visits, and the celebrations of different national and international days are held as co- curricular activities

The evaluation system consists of 4 terms. The achievements of set goals are examined through written and oral tests. To encourage the students and teachers rewards and incentives are given in each term. It creates competition among students teachers as well

The administrative structure consists of a presidents, consultant and Education Officer which run this system through regular meetings with teachers, parents, and students. All the schools are visited regularly

As there was no teaching material (books) in mother language (Seraiki), so a series of books for play and class 1 consisting English and math, was published by HDC. The revised additions of these books and a series of drawing, coloring books are in progress.
Formal Schools.
There are seven schools in all. One of them School is Basti Sheikhan, which consists of seven teachers. It is situated on the East of Taunsa Barrage. All of its students belong to indigenous community. This school has a proper building and a play Playground. Other school is situated in the West bank of Taunsa Barrage in Basti Allah Alee. This school has three teachers. The student of this school also belong to indigenous Community Another school is 3 km in the West of Taunsa Barrage. It is Kalati Ala. There are two teachers in this school. One school is in the down Stream of Indus River consisting of two Local teachers. This is called Parohay Ala. Two schools Murad Ala and Samandri are situated in the East of Taunsa Barrage. These are single teachers schools. Another single teacher school is in Wasti Ameer Shah
Adult Literacy Center.
Realizing the need to educate the /adults of indigenous community (especially women), recently eight schools as adult literacy centers are established. These are located on the both banks of Taunsa Barrage having the strength of 20 students of each center. The students of these centers are also facilitated with learning material such as, writing books, Pencils, black board etc. The basic concept is to develop reading and writing skills including a Positive approach on political issues and basic rights
Outcomes.
Approximately after two years it has been realized that the young’s (students of H.D.C.schools) of the indigenous community have become hold, courageous and confident. Now it is not possible and easy to expert or deceives them. Now they knew the basics of reading and writing in Seraiki, Urdu, and English. Now they can count, add, subtract, and multiply as well. The teaching of drawing has made them to express their feelings through art. The involvement in different cultural activities has made them to express their problems through different kinds of Performing arts such as drama, dance, and singing. Their talent has discovered and developed through different activities. The celebration of different national and international days has made them aware of other nations of the world and rights based activities as well. Through the Celebration of these days, the indigenous children had an opportunity to interact with other Community as well. Children Rights Day, Mother Language Day, Women Rights Day, Musical programmers, Theater programmers and the competitions in local games are such activities in which they fully participate and learn the skills related to social life. Theater training is also given them by H.D.C Theater Department to make them confident and bold.
In near future it is planned those three schools will be made model. They will be facilities with highly qualified staff, science laboratory, computers lab and up-to-date libraries. The administrative system will also be improved to run the schools systematically. Some exposure visits are planned for the students teachers will be trained through a series of trainings to make their skills up-to-date. Students of class 1 will be taught Punjab textbook board courses along With a supplement of Seraiki literature. This supplement will run up to fifth class. Therefore an eight year syllabus of mother language will be designed unable the students to read and write Seraiki fluently and understand the Seraiki poetry and prose. This syllabus will also make them aware of book knowledge and the cultural heritage of Indus Valley. The students will be facilitated with building and latest educational A.V. aid equipment so that they can face the Challenges of new area.
